A Warm & Welcoming Catholic Family of Faith, Love & Service
For the past 22 years, countless men, women and children from our Parish and beyond have made their way to our Saint Mary Parish Adoration Chapel. There they have found great nourishment and strength praying in the presence of the Eucharist - the Blessed Sacrament.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
When we pray in adoration, we humbly acknowledge that we are creatures of Almighty God, recognizing God’s power and presence in our lives. In Eucharistic Adoration we adore Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who suffered and died for us and is present in the fullest possible way in the Holy Eucharist. A Host that was consecrated at Mass is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance which sits on the Chapel’s altar. Throughout the day and night, people come to adore, kneeling or sitting in the Chapel. Adoration can of course take many forms – praying the rosary or other favorite prayers, reading the Word of God or a book on a spiritual topic or just sitting quietly and listening to the Lord speak to our hearts.
Why Eucharist Adoration?
Why spend time in our Adoration Chapel? Because it is a place where you can be with the Lord in prayer without distractions. We lead busy lives, and carving private prayer time out of our hectic days and /or finding a quiet place for prayer can be a challenge. Our Adoration Chapel has been and is such a place for many and can be that kind of place for you. Remember the words of Our Lord in the Gospel: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. Come to me and I will refresh you." Our Adoration Chapel could become your place of spiritual peace and refreshment.
Eucharistic Adoration is the worship, praise, and adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. Perpetual Adoration is a Eucharistic devotion whereby members of a given parish unite in making continuous hours of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament both during the day and throughout the night, seven days a week. With limited exceptions, we are blessed to have Perpetual Adoration here in our Adoration Chapel at Saint Mary Parish.
It is our goal to provide two scheduled adorers for each hour of every day. Please review the current schedule and consider signing up for a weekly hour, in a time slot of need. You may sign-up on-line, call the Parish Office at 203-438-6538 or contact Monica and Bill Brown at 914-533-2832.
All are welcome to stop by the Adoration Chapel at anytime for prayer, reflection or silence with the Lord.

We have a handsome new Tabernacle, which houses the Monstrance in our Parish Adoration Chapel. Locked glass doors and a lighted interior will allow for adoration as well as protection of the exposed Blessed Sacrament, lovingly designed and crafted by Mr. Raymond Kulacz, father of our own Father Sean, and we are so grateful to Mr. Kulacz for his excellent work.
Since at least one Adorer should be present when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, and realizing that schedules can change and coverage is not always available, our new Tabernacle is designed with a second set of wooden doors that can be closed if and when no Adorer is present. If an Adorer finds himself / herself unable to remain and no other Adorer is present, the wooden doors can be respectfully closed before exiting the Chapel, and the next Adorer can reopen them.
We hope our new Tabernacle will relieve some of the pressure on our Adorers as we continue 24/7 Adoration of the exposed Blessed Sacrament.
