“At the heart of ministry with young people is the presence of caring, supportive relationships where youth experience the Good News in the flesh.” -Growing Souls
Youth Advocates are adults who intentionally spend some of their time each month ministering to teenagers-- as catechists, chaperones, small group leaders, life night leaders, catholic action project guides, mentors, ministry liasons or in some other way particular to their calling in life.
Some give 10 hours a week, some give just 2 each month. Some are young, some are old. Some are outgoing and goofy, some are introverted and focused. Commonly, they possess a strong desire to see young people not just survive in our society, but thrive.
